NOVA LINCS, a leading research lab in the field of Computer Science and Informatics, is hosted at the Departamento de Informática – NOVA School of Science and Technology | FCT NOVA – Universidade NOVA de Lisboa, a pioneering national institution.

With a wide reach, NOVA LINCS has branches at Universidade de Évora, Universidade da Beira Interior, ISEL, and Universidade da Madeira. These branches contribute to the diverse research landscape of NOVA LINCS, which comprises four Research Groups: Computer Systems, Knowledge-Based Systems, Multimodal Systems, and Software Systems.

At the University of Madeira, The Madeira NOVA LINCS branch is home to three Research Groups: M-KRR-G Group, Neurorehablab, and Enterprise Engineering group-EELab. These Research Groups focus on Artificial Intelligence, Health and Well-Being, and Enterprise Engineering, respectively. The Novalincs branch at the University of Madeira contribuited in advancing research in these domains.
