Mission

Madeira N-Lincs, a branch of the NOVA Laboratory for Computer Science and Informatics (NOVA LINCS) at the University of Madeira (UMa) appears in 2020 with the signing of a protocol between Universidade Nova de Lisboa and UMa. The center intends to develop the following objectives: UMa’s institutional participation, through teams of researchers in NOVA LINCS, reinforcing existing collaborations, and giving them adequate visibility from the perspective of both institutions.

Vision

Create new lines of research based on exploring opportunities and already developed networks, in the general domain of “Computer Science and Informatics”, namely in the following areas:
– knowledge-based systems
– computer systems
– multimodal systems
– software systems
